Can anyone recommend any regimental archives that I can reference to track details of W/S/Sgt H Clifford, 4980691, Sherwood Foresters, RA then REME 1940-1946. Second from left in photo attached. TIA. Phil

This is now your third thread on the same person. Duplication can lead to members trying to help which has already been done. I will ask a Moderator to merge them next.

Looking at the document elsewhere it does not appear he was posted to an active duty formation, just two RAC training regiments followed by his own Tracer Card to join a RA regimental association and being part of two large corps, RA and REME.

I think your only option is to apply for his Service Record, even if there a year long wait. Then you could identify more clues to his service.

Thanks for the message but this is not the same person as my previous request (Harold Clifford RAC). This is his older brother, Herbert Clifford
