    The glider was conveying a load for the Royal Engineers but short of the Normandy coast the tow rope broke and the aircraft was ditched in the sea. Although one of the glider pilots was found drowned the other was not recovered and the fate of the passengers is unknown, although some are thought to have been killed.

    S/Sgt BRABHAM was intially buried at Honfleur (his body was washed ashore there), later reburies at Saint Desir W.cemetery VI-B-14
    while his co-pilot Sgt Eric LIGHTOWLER was initially buried at Villers Sur Mer, and later reburied at Ranville W.C. , VA-E-06

    So far I have not found information about their passengers.
