30 Corps War Diaries

Lee, I have another one interested over here. So that makes four now.

We also would like to opt for the March 1945 files of the 30 Corps War Diary (conclusion of Veritable & Rhine Crossing).So if anyone else wants to join in, do it quick.

SD - Staff Duties. At least that is what I understand it to mean.

I've started collecting June 44, a couple of appendices at a time. If I find any artillery diaries, I'll shout out.

Is there any chance I can get a copy of September 44?

I saw a query re war diaries 7th Armoured division not existing - try WO 171/439 for 7 AD (G) June +July 1944 and WO 171/620 for 22nd Armoured brigade HQ Jan - Dec 1944

RE SD in some documents and diaries S(D) means Supply Department

30 Corps March 1945 diaries now copied. Slightly over 1,000 pages with a number of maps with defence overprints.

Let me know if you require a copy. The more interested, the cheaper for all.

I have an interest in Sept 1944 as I believe that was when the RAF Regiment Squadron that I am interested in was attached to 30 Corps at Bailleuval.

I see that it has been dealt with already but wonder whether we can sort out a deal for me to obtain a copy?

Hi Lee,

I'm very interested in the diaries of the 30th of August and September 1944, because the grandfather (Jimmy Baird) of my wife was a member of the 30th. I'm probably also interest in the rest, but these 2 months will do for now. I'm trying to find out what his route was from the moment they set foot on Normandie till they went home, or in his case back to his Dutch girlfriend.
