    Hi to all,

I'm after some info on the above battalion... The period I'm after is for the all of December 1944. More so on the 12th December. I'm not sure if a regimental/ battalion history went to print? If someone has the war diaries for this month has well then that would be appreciated?

The only info i have is from the Official History of the Indian Armed Forces. I will be visiting Monte Grande & Monte Cerere this year in October. I do have a memorial to show if any-one is interested? I would post it, but it has a copyright on it with a email address. Not emailed the chap as yet to be able to show it.

Start a conversion with me if anyone would like me to send on the photo of the memorial? Only came across it by chance today.

    Regards,
    Stu.

There is a thread that mentions them 8th Punjab Regiment Regimental History

    dryan refers to:
Immediately after another says look at: Ahmad, Rifat Nadeem and Rafiuddin Ahmed. Unfaded Glory: The 8th Punjab Regiment 1798-1956. Abbottabad, Pakistan: Baloch Regimental Centre, 2007 IWM LBY 07 / 2537

I'd have a peek at the IWM Oral History collection, to see if anyone was spoken to.
