The 3rd Battalion 14th Punjab Regiment seems to disappear off the radar between April 1941 & June 1942. Does anyone know where it was & what it was doing?

I can place it in 11th Brigade in Early 1941 & 9th Brigade from July 1942.

The 4 Ind Div history says:
3/14 Punjabis remained on garrison duties in East Africa.

The 5 Indian Div history adds, for the end of July 1942:
At this time Nine Brigade consisted only of the 2nd West Yorkshires, who had already had a very difficult time, and the 3/14th Punjab (Lieutenant-Colonel W. A . Putnam), who had recently joined from Qatatba. Although this battalion had fought in Eritrea with the Fourth Indian Division it had not yet been in action in the Desert.
