    Afternoon all,

I am in the process of doing some fairly in-depth research into the 2nd Bn Royal Warwicks from 1943-1945 as a personal project as my Grandfather served with the Regiment and I feel they have been largely overlooked in the grand scheme of things and my hope is to try and develop what was written about them and the actions they fought from 6th June '44 onwards until the end of WW2.

I have elements of the War Diary and when visiting my parents I'm not too far from the Regt Museum so obtaining the rest isn't that difficult.

What I'm really after are any personal stories/annecdotes of their time training for Overlord or when in Europe. Also any photogrpaghs anyone is willing to share or any momentoes from relatives etc.

I have a blog that I'm developing - jon-short82.tumblr.com and I'm using it as an online source of reference material etc.

In the next 2 weeks I'm off to Normandy, staying near Sword Beach and plan to retrace their steps from the beach through to Lebisey Wood documenting as closely as possible the route the Bn took on D-Day and D+1 and if at all possible getting Then and Now photos although I suspect it will mainly be 'Now' photos, which I wll publish here and on my Blog on my return.

If anyone is able to help I will be extremely grateful.

    Hello

I'm trying to find information on Private John Andrews of the 2nd battalion Royal Warwickshire regiment who is interred in Overloon War Cemetery in the
Netherlands. He died on 8th November, 1944 .

I am helping a group in Overloon who are trying to tell these men's stories but are primarily looking for photographs of the heroes interred in the cemetery.

I'm wondering if you possibly have any details in the war diaries relating to Private John Andrews that you would be willing to share.

    Kind regards.
