    Hi

I am trying to find information on this Unit just prior to and post D Day. A distant relative 4867385 Spr Wilkes, James William was killed 14 July 1944. He is buried in Secqueville-en-Bessin war Cemetary.

I have tried the search facility and don't seem to have found anything. If there is already stuff then my apologies - I clearly need more practice!

    regards and thanks

    Mick,

The Company's war diary would be a good start. It's at the National Archives here:
    WO 171/1611, 263 Coy 1944 Jan.- Dec

    Hi,
Below are photos of the WD for March, April and May 1944.

Sorry to say I don’t have any photos for July 1944.

    Regards

    Danny
