    Hi All,
I am trying to find out a little more about my Grandfather's Service in WW2.
He was in the 247 Light AA Bty RA PAI Force according to the info on my dad's Telegrams to his dad in 1943. I have one date stamped 23 Oct 1943, and another 15 April 1944. By 6th Oct 1944, he was in a Miltary Hospital.
I have a photo of my grandfather with a colleague next to a statue in possibly Eygpt, I think I was told Luxor.
Does anyone know anything about this BTY.
    Thanks Carrie

Hi Carrie and welcome to the forum. Do you know if this Battery was under command of a Light AA Regiment? If so it may be easier to research the regiment as details on batteries can be a bit thin on the ground.
