    Hi

A small number of "Special Forces" selected from 4 PARA, SBS, RSR, LRGD, RAF Regiment and 9 Commando, commanded by Earl Jellicoe (SBS) on behalf of Land Forces Adriatic (LFA) harried the Germans and prepared the ground immediately prior to the re-liberation of Greece in October 1944. They were called BUCKETFORCE.

Force 133 of SOE were in Greece during most of the war, giving support to the Greek militias.

As far as I can recall, no members of the SAS were directly involved in the liberation of Greece.

I believe some members of the LRDG did join the SAS later.

Sorry I can't be more helpful.

    Gus
