Hi, can someone ease my mind about this unit when it was in Ceylon and India please?

H.Q. 1st RM AA Brigade with 1st RM (Heavy) AA Regiment lands in Colombo on 1st February 1942
    H.Q. 1st RM AA Brigade re-designated H.Q. AA Command Ceylon on 11 February 1942

I have a date of 24th October 1942 when H.Q. AA Command Ceylon was re-designated H.Q. 1st RM AA Brigade. I'm not sure where I got this date from. Is this correct?
    J. D. Ladd - RM Unit History Summaries states that from February 1942 to 29 August 1943 the H.Q. was re-designated H.Q. AA Ceylon but also that H.Q. 1st RM AA Brigade, 1st RM Heavy AA Regiment and the L&MU went to India in early April 1943 and were re-designated "MB Group" under command XXXIII Indian Corps until disbanded in January 1944

So, can anyone tell me what dates the H.Q. 1st RM AA Brigade was re-designated?

    Many thanks

    Rob:

Here is an excerpt from WO 106/4586 (Ceylon Order of Battle for Ceylon Army Command on 06/02/1943):

    WO106/4586

Ceylon Order of Battle for Ceylon Army Command on 06/02/1943

    Army Command

1st Royal Marine Antiaircraft Brigade HQ ex-MNBDO 1, designated HQ AA

    Ceylon from Feb-42 - 29-Aug-43

I also have a 2nd June 1943 Order of Battle for Ceylon Army Command that states the following:

Anti-Aircraft Artillery Ceylon (1st Royal Marine Antiaircraft Brigade HQ, ex-MNBDO 1, designated HQ AA Ceylon from Feb-42 - 29-Aug-43

These would seem to agree with the 29th August 1943 date.
