If only someone could unearth some "Blackpool" pics other than the six on the KORR site...

    Nice photos Reddevon.

All I have are the two photos seen in many books; the men on Nippon Hill and the officers on the Uhkral Road. I'm sure you will have these.

    Bamboo43,
The picture at Nippon hill is really noticeable. The background features are Scraggy, Crest East and Crest west. I went to the location last month and I am really happy to see the picture you have uploaded. Thanks.

    Glad you liked it Raj.

This copy of the same image is perhaps a little more clear?

    Best wishes

    Steve

I posted a picture of A Coy 1 Devons some time ago, I was looking for a bit of help with the location. I'm sure you will be able to find it by my user name. I also have a few more which I will locate on my Random Filing Device (Hard disk with a mind of its own) and post them on here for you.

Unfortunately I have no idea of the context of these pictures except that I'm pretty sure that they were taken in or around Rawalpindi, my father is the chap on the left of the first photo stood by the Ambulance, he is also in the others but you can work that out yourselves. He was A Company, 1st Devons, joining them in India Jan 1937, and with them until wounded in Burma in Jan 1944.
