I'm researching Private George Stubbs 4468241 of the 1st Bn DLI who was killed in action on the 23rd July 1941. He is remembered with honour at the Brookwood 1939-1945 Memorial.
Can anyone confirm where the Battalion were at this time and why he is remembered at Brookwood?
Thanks in advance for any replies.

Russ hes right of course. Stubbs is on the Brookwood memorial because he died at sea.

Thanks again Kyle really appreciated - it's just as well I'm not trying to make a living out of research as I'm not very good....
