    Sorting through my last trip to Kew I found a 100+ page document on the 1st Bn Royal Irish Fusiliers in France during May 1940 written by Brigadier G F Gough. Drop me a PM if you are interested in a copy.

    Just to confirm I have since found out that this document has been published into a book called Thirty Days to Dunkirk - Brig Guy F Gough

    That's a good diary, and the books about the battalion in 1940 (Gough's and John Horsfall's Say Not The Struggle) are excellent. The 1st R Ir Fus was clearly an outstanding unit.
