This attached pic looks to be taken from a different angle same place a few seconds/minutes, before/after?
I have an idea but thought I'd throw it out to the forum for confirmation. The picture is dated May/June 1940 and was taken in the UK. Cheers Edit: See comments from posts 101 onwards
Ref post 85: Indeed it is Richard-I suspect the same photographer getting a different angle. I can tell you according to BITW that it was taken on the 26th May because the Ronarc'h barracks on the left were bombed the following day. Interestingly I have tried to find this location for a then and now on several trips to Dunkirk but gave up in the end. The location is said to be on Rue des Fusiliers Marins but after finding the road nothing in the above picture could be matched with the road today. Apparently the above road led straight to the Eastern Mole.
Again a variation of above photo. It is depicted as Belgian townsfolk welcoming British mobile artillery unit. The 2nd is the Blown rail bridge over the Albert canal
