Scanned these from "The War in Pictures" by Odhams Press Ltd. (circa 1950?) particularly like the act of defiance by the soldier firing at the planes. (Great pics by the way Andy, cheers).

Hi Drew, It very much resembles the cap badge,minus the scroll of the Sussex Yeomanry ?? Just to add an edit and another photo and a link to Soldiers of the Queen - Trooper of the Sussex Yeomanry interesting that this site refers to the `Dog` being pre-1908 if it is indeed Sussex Yeomanry

To take it one step further, he is a member of 391 (Sussex) Bty. The other was 392 (Surrey) Bty and presumably wore the Surrey Yeo collar badge. As I have the regtl history their entry on my site is fairly comprehensive: 98 Fld Rgt
