I know that in the 1911 census anybody in the military was also included on the census. Army was shown with other soldiers and the name of the barracks they were stationed in. Navy were and the ships name were included.

so my question is I can’t find anything military in the 1939 census and wondered if this was because were were looking at a possible war and and kept these details off the census to Stop prying eyes?

assume this is for the Halsham war memorial

you need to look at the census but as you know unless you have a subscription it costs
hopefully a forum member might be able to assist

The 1939 wasn't a Census, but was a Register of the Civilian population of England and Wales - worth a read of this 1939 Register - The National Archives it mentions military personnel weren't included (except those on leave, I think some TA may also be included)

Just to add, I don't know the technical difference between a census and register are, I'm sure someone on here does.

Put 'army' 'air force' 'royal artillery' etc in the occupation field.
