Hi all, just got Uncle Freds sevice record, he was RAOC and with a LAD attached to 18 F.p. Coy RE I assume this is 18th Field park Company, Royal Engineers.

He was with them from March 1941 until Feb. 1942, when he was killed in a traffic accident. Can't find any info on this company on this site or the web, anyone got anything on this unit> Thanks.

I can only find the 1942 diary. Where was the unit in 1941?

    WO 166/8056 18 Company RE 1942 Jan.-Dec.

    Edit:

My hangover hasn't gone yet then  Good job Rosy

I can do them next week for you. I suspect they will be the same (TNA isn't very good at naming files) but I will check and make sure.

    Cheers
