    156095 Lieutenant Alastair Graham STEWART, 3rd Battalion WELSH GUARDS

    On 9th April 1943 Lieutenant A.G. STEWART was Commanding No. 1 Company.

    During the attack on DJEBEL AINE EL RHORAB his example and leadership were of the highest order and was responsible for the capture of the Company objective.

    His handling of the Company throughout the action was first class and he showed ability, courage and determination of the highest order throughout the action.
