    Hello and welcome,

He was a D.E.M.S. gunner and he died while serving on the HARDWICKE GRANGE.

D.E.M.S gunners can be difficult to research.

There is no RA tracer card on the ancestry site for your grandfather, but those for near numbers give a good idea of his enlistment date.
    1548331 enlisted 23 Jan 1940
    1548333 enlisted 27 Jan 1940
They have 20 & 22 Light Anti Aircraft Regiments as their first units, but thats no certainty thats where your grandfather was posted.

Nine months later on 12.6.1942, HARDWICKE GRANGE was torpedoed and sunk by U-129 in the North Atlantic.
