    Terrific find Andy! I'm not sure about the event, but the familiar face of Lieutenant-Colonel Peter J. Luard can be seen second photo down in first post.

    I don't think I've seen that photo of Peter Luard reproduced anywhere else before. He took a hunting horn to Normandy with him to be used for rallying the 13th Battalion after it jumped. The call was 'L' for Lancashire which makes him a pretty cool bloke in my eyes.

    Andreas Grandad was with them in Normandy - Just keeping the Mrs's sweet, nothing more, nothing less :lol:
