12th Royal Tank Regiment

    12th Royal Tank Regiment, any idea where they may have been relating to this incident :
    10 May 1941 a car carrying 4 soldiers ran into the back of a stationary lorry on the Nottingham to Ollerton road near Deerdale Lane, Bilsthorpe.
    L/Cpl Leslie Wylie - 12th Royal Tank Regiment, R.A.C. Of the Railway Inn, Birkenhead Road, Moels, Cheshire. Husband of Louise killed
    L/Cpl William Tapp - Royal Engineers. Of 14 Garston Avenue, Newton Abbott. Husband of Phyllis, killed
    QM/Sgt William Geer - severely injured head injuries, survived.
    Tpr Albert McDonnald - injured

    Unfortunately the war diary does not start until January 1942, so it will not help.

    Thanks dryan67, I know the R.A.C had taken over the country houses along that route A614, Rufford, Thoresby and Clumber. But wasn't sure when and if the 12th had been there.
