February 1944 and the 12th Parachute Battalion of Airborne Forces has a photography day. These are the officers. Attached as Padre at this time, my research throws up that from 1943 to after D Day it was J. O. Jenkins, so I assume this is him in the photograph. I thought I would post it up as I am sure there will be some other airborne enthusiasts interested and probably have names they can add.
    Regards
    Matt

I don't suppose bottom row 4th from left is RAMC Maj Harvey, later awarded DSO from 225 PFA? Looks a bit like him, I have a photo of him being given DSO by Monty.

Yes, I was talking 4th from the left in "my" pic, and yes it does look rather like the chap in the 225 PFA photo which I hadn't seen before. It also begs me to ask who the Padre attached to 225 was at that time, in theory it should be W C T Briscoe, a very keen parachutist. I haven't seen a photo of him before but its rather nice to see one. I haven't seen that on paradata before, but then I only did a search for chaplain and it doesn't bring up many photos. I guess they aren't indexed that way! ;)
The side on view of Jenkins doesn't help me much except the rank is right, and I am sure the posting is right as well, at least until 1945 as far as I recall.
I will try and scan my copy of the photo of the presentation with Monty. At the time, [I think 1945] he was by then a Lt Col RAMC.
