11th Hussars War Diary: The 11th Hussars, (Prince Albert's Own) (Again, the sneaking feeling I've seen these before. Will remove when Owen or somebody points out my error.) Cheers, Adam.
During the desert war, at various times the 11 Hussars had an extra Squadron which was an RAF unit, the RAF no 2 Armoured Car Company. This (and 1ACC) were formed in 'Transjordan' in the 1920's and both fought at various times in the desert campaign. 2ACC was under command of 11H as their 'D Sqn'.
If anyone needs more details regarding the activities of the 11th Hussars (PAO) during WW2, including squadron reports, casualty lists, and decorations received etc. Ive just updated my records on this link: http://daimler-fighting-vehicles.co.uk/roc.html Open the PDF files for more information.... I recommend the Journal which was published at the end of hostilities and is very informative.
