Does anyone have any information on the following soldier? My friend is trying to find out more about her grandfather. She thinks he was at Belsen at the end of the war.

He was Private James Wild (known as Jim to the family) service number 7896617.

His will made during the war states he was in 148 Pioneer Corps but she thinks this was an error as the documents she has state 118.

    11.5.39 called up.
    30.8.45 Germany.
5.9.45 military dispersal unit Ashton under Lyne.
Captain later Major WH Anderson wrote his report.

    Thanks in advance.
