Westland Lysander V9666 from 10 AGS crashed into the sea near Fleetwood, Lancashire after possibly clipping the mast of a ship (?) in foul weather in February 1943. The aircraft and crew sank and the bodies were not immediately recovered; they were Sgt Owen Jolly and Sgt Witold Antoni Szott. Can anyone tell me any more about the accident and whether the bodies were ever recovered? Many thanks.

Thank you CL1. His surviving family did not know about this memorial.
