I am doing research into the 1st Base Ordnance Depot that existed at Nantes, 1939-40, before its evacuation in June, 1940. My grand uncle was part of the forces that unfortunately died on the Lancastria and I am trying to pain a picture of what the days and weeks were like in the lead up. I have the war diaries from that time that are in the National Archives. I have read somewhere that there is a BBC documentary that exists on it?
