I've just finally finished my scratch-built 1/76 Albion BY1/12 Pdr QF Gun vignette. It was inspired by Dick Harley's article on the 12 Pound er gun in MAFVA Tankette 57/4. Dick provided me with a lot of info and directed me to photos in the IWM Collection and my thanks go to him. Stu Harrison did the set of Firestone C/C wheels and Pete Marshall the rather sparse decal markings. My thanks go to both these gents. The figures are all Milicast from the Heavy Artillery set and were modified as necessary for the project. It is depicting an SP gun of the 115th Field Bty. as stationed at Fort Horsted in the summer of 1940 post Dunkirk. So, here are a few views of it including a couple before mounting on the base with the figures. I posed the figures setting up the camo net rather than in the deployed state.

    Cheers,

    Neil

Do you display these outside of your home since the diorama's are so professional?

Thanks much but no, most are here in my home. I do have about 35 of my Canadian models in the Regimental Museum of the Grey and Simcoe Foresters in Barrie, Ontario, Canada where I also volunteer as a guide.

I'm glad that you are sharing with the public. I have PM'd you a copy of my summary for the Grey and Simcoe Foresters during their time in Canada from 1940-43 that you are free to share with the museum.

    as ever fantastic work
I am glad you have a number on display
I think a display like that would not only encourage people to have a go but also encourage others to gain more interest in the subjects

Have you ever modelled a Bofors SP?

    regards
    Clive

    Hi Clive,

Somehow, I missed this response earlier and thank you very much for your kind comments. To answer y=our question re the S/P Bofors, the answer is yes. I scratch-built a Canadian one on the CMP chassis some time ago. Here is a view of it.

    Cheers,
