I just finished a multi-media kit (resin and white metal) from Friendship Models of a 1/76 Thornycroft Tartar FBE Mk III. It was one I mastered for them this past summer. Most of my bridging vehicles are 1940 vintage but many of them soldiered on to the war's end serving well with various RE Bridging Companies and that is the subject of this FBE serving with the 147th Bridging Coy of the 21st Army Group in Germany. Many thanks to Dick Harley for his always helpful info on the vehicle and to Mike Simpson (TRUX) for it's markings, Mike Starmer for his colour guidance, Dave Rhodes for the lovely boats and Stu Harrison for the crisp 3d printed wheels. Many thanks also to Pete Marshall, Aleran Minis for the decals. While waiting for decals to arrive for this model, I began work on my next project which is a scratch-built 1/76 LeTourneau Carryall LS Scraper which will be towed by a Cat D8 in Canadian service. Here is a photo as well of the scraper awaiting it's wheel and rigging.

    Cheers,

    Neil

Thank you very much Clive for the kind words and yes...Owen is right on with Folding Boat Equipment. Those are the 3 folded boats between the towers and when the sides were raised and a transom inserted they perfomed like pontoons but meant for lighter loads.
