This is the history of my father-in-law's war service in the RN with Combined Ops. It traces his two LCT Mk 4s, 828 and 1277. It has plenty of photos and illustrations. All sources are given. The Green Lists at the National Archive, Kew are used for movements.
I also had access to an almost unique notebook kept by LCT 828's skipper Anthony Barber Doncaster.
I would like to hear from anyone associated with the officers or crew of either of these LCTs.
Happy to co-operate on further research.
