High My Mother was in the 1st Highland Group ATS and I think she was based down south ( maybe Bristol or Devon area ) . I think she may have been involved with Anti-Aircraft gunners on the search lights . I have tried to get information but not been able to find anything . Her name at the time was Phyllis McGloin and her service number is : 86414 and her rank number is W/86414 . I would really appreciate if any one can help . Regards Billy
Hi Billy, Your starting point has got to be to request her service records from UK MOD via this link - Requests for personal data and service records: a detailed guide Steve
hi Steve Have applied for them , but with this covid thing I think it will be next year at the earliest . Just thought I`d try here to see if anyone had any other info . best regards Billly
Interested mainly about 1945 part , where she was with J Coy and if she was no longer on the search lights . As Germany had ceased to be an airborne threat .
