Cunard Crew Lists

    Does anyone know if Cunard kept any lists of RN personnel who served aboard their ships during WW2?

    Cunard records are held by the Maritime Museum in Liverpool.

    I couldn't tell you honestly as they don't make it clear in the link above but I would doubt it.

    As you know, merchant ships employed DEMS as members of the ship's crew and were recorded as such but consigs and commodore staff is not so clear cut. However, it is important to search all relevant parts of the ship's official logbook for information.

    I contacted the National archives in Kew and got a bog standard, apparently automated reply about service records being kept by the MOD . At no stage did I ask for his records - I've already got the damn things, for what they're worth
