I'm job searching at the moment and have an upcoming interview at a Dutch company called Barentz, which has its headquarters near Amsterdam. On their website it states:

"Our founder, Herman Barentz had to hide to survive World War II. While he was in-hiding, he spent all of his time reading and studying. This formed his strong belief in the invincible power of knowledge. When he started his own company in Amsterdam in 1953, knowledge became the fundament for growth and today it still is. That's why we are renowned for our technical and market expertise."

Naturally, this caught my eye and I tried to find out more details about Mr. Barentz and his WWII experiences by doing a web search. However, I didn't find anything to add to this. Does anyone have any information on him or know where I might find more information? It would be nice to bring this up at the interview if I get the chance.

Hello! I know it's maybe too late to answer after 3 years, but I am an employee at Barentz, and we have a company book about Herman Barentz, would be happy to share what I know :)
