Lovely tribute, why did it take so long?

Shrabani Basu - Noor's Indian Biographer took on the task of raising the money from scratch - for the Memorial Bust (By Karen Newman who also sculpted the Violet Szabo Memorial), a lot of the money was raised from the Indian Community, I am pleased to say the Prime Minister supported the appeal as did several members of the House of Lords.

During a visit to the Bloomsbury district of London in September 2015 I visited Gordon Square Gardens to have a look at the Noor Inayat Khan memorial (see attached photographs). It is an appropriate location for the memorial as it is close to where the Inayat Khans lived while in London and Noor used to spend time relaxing in the gardens.

It looks like an interesting exhibition and the talks by Shrabani Basu should be well attended.

I took these 21-09-2017. This memorial can be found in the gardens of Gordon Square, Bloomsbury, London. WC1. Noor Inayat Khan is also inscribed within the Runnymede cloister's. I took some photographs there in 2012. When I can find them...
