    Hi

I have just discovered this site, by accident, as I am trying to search for people that trained/worked/knew my Dad, Fred Williams, during his time in Kirkcaldy, Ryde, Isle of Man, and Madley, Hereford.

He was stationed there for Gunnery School and Radio School, between 1942-1944, approximately, and was due to go out to Japan/Asia just around the time that Pearl Harbour was struck.

He is 90 this year, and comes from Devon. (This is aimed at being a SURPRISE for his 90th Birthday!)

He has managed to get, and keep, in touch with another RAF serviceman from there, called Les Nield, whom I believe was known as "Smokey". (He is the same age - and is in the Stoke area, although I don't know if that is where he originated from at the time.)

I don't know if I am going about this in the "right" way, but IF YOU WERE THERE, OR YOUR FATHER/BROTHER/RELATIVE WAS THERE, at either location, please let me know as soon as possible.

If you are on Facebook, or similar, please kindly share with people that may know someone.... in the hope that we may be able to get the group back together again, (or at least in contact).

    Many thanks, and kind regards,
