Para Regt.

Several units of the 6th Airborne Division stayed in our region for about 3 weeks in 1945. These items were given to a former inhabitant. Unknown is to which unit(s) they belonged. Who can help ?

This is odd because the lions are from the non-airborne 15th Scottish Division. (Which would did not have an airborne component.) Could they have been separate gifts somehow?

That is possible Chris. The 15th Scottish Division was also here for some weeks in the winter of'44/'45. Are they related to a division or a regiment of battalion ?

Well that's where things confuse me. Anyone in the division would have had those lions, on their shoulders.

However I don't think anyone would have had "Parachute regiment" because there were no parachute regiment in the division!?!?!

Hi Chris. The 15th Scottish Division was in our region (southern part of the Netherlands. West of Venlo and Roermond). Date: December 7th/ '44 - January 22nd/ '45.
They were relieved by the 6th Airborne Division. This division stayed until February 19th / '45.
      Mystery solved.
      Many thanks, Chris.
