      My dad, 8th from the left in the back row - his paybook had him down as 220 Bty, but guessing he was amongst those who went to make up 477 once they'd moved down to Kent; the Goddard/Rankin/Vigers history of the regiment has him down as 477 OP Bdr, wounded on 10th July and thereafter shipped home. To great relief, he was happy to admit.
