    Hi all,

I recently purchased a single medal from the US on Ebay. I am trying to figure out postage options and am being quoted $70+ USD (includes tracking) for a single medal worth $65USD (that weighs virtually nothing).

There must be a cheaper option that includes tracking?

The USPS website has no contact options so I can't ask them........

Any help would be gratefully received.

Emps there is a website easyship which gives costs from US to Aus
Assume medal with good packing would weigh tops 500g
Postage you quoted does seem high i would assume 30US dollars tops

Any chance they're using Ebay's "Global Shipping Program"? That is, by far, the most overpriced "service" I've come across. I've passed up a number of well-priced items, for the reason you stated above - the cost to post to Australia was taking the p***.

I've been advised that using the GSS means they don't need to fill out all the customs paperwork and can just drop into a postbox, instead it's all done at the collection depot (which adds to the delivery time by upwards of a week minimum).

Or they're simply trying to make $$ off you; cheap item, underpriced to get the sale, but gouge you on the postage. Note though, that's not a US thing, I've seen it with AUS (and other countries) sellers too.

I hope you get a result on the cheaper postage!
