Canadian Staghound name?

    This image is from the Tilburg Archives photo ref 012160 dated 1st October 1944.
    Can anyone make out the name? It looks to start HIME and seems to end ST but I cannot find anything that matches that. Any thoughts or suggestions appreciated.

    You've got me. It sort of looks like there is another M, but that could easily be something else.

    Hmmm? How about HIMEROS? Greek God of sexual desire.

  9. This would be a nice change from the bellicous names often used!

    However, I think the penultimate letter has an "open" top, as in 'U'. So does, but less obviously so, the previous letter, so it should be HIMENUS. Still in the "love" semantic field then, unless it is meant as the ancient times, somewhat obsure character :D
