Hi, I've been for a few years (on and off) trying to find out about both my Grandad's and the part they played during WW2. Gnr John Stanley Robinson 317 Bty 165 HAA RA NW Europe Edward Studley R.E.M.E - Awaiting Records- All I Know was he was in Italy and Africa. Lately like most of us I've had a lot more time to spare. Any info anyone has would be great. Many thanks Helen
I know its not much, but I see from the notes of my dad's regiment that:- 4 Oct 1942 “A” Troop 167 Bty moved from Bristol 20 to Bristol 19 (Reservoir) and on 9 Oct returned to Bristol 20 on relief by 317 HAA Bty of 165 HAA Regt. It would be worth you contacting The Royal Artillery Museum Achivists: enquiries@royalartillerymuseum.com and ask about the RA DRAMA report for 165 HAA RA Regiment. The amount of content varies, but they will tell you if the one you are interested in is worth buying. More info on what to expect: Sergeant ACK-ACK: Royal Artillery Museum: DRAMA Reports

Hi that would be fantastic! My email is hels848440 (at) gmail.com. Any information would be great. I do have a few more pictures I could send you. Many thanks Helen
Hi Helen. I will check how big the files are and may be too large for email. If so I will put them in Dropbox for downloading. Do you access Dropbox?
Hi Helen, I quote here word for word a very helpful and wise post elsewhere on the forum by Tricky Dicky about putting your email address on here: “I would also edit the post above to remove the '@' symbol from the email address and change it for 'AT' - the reason being this is a public accessible forum and as such 'bots' roam around and pick up any email address's they can fins and then use them to sell onto other companies”
At the bottom of your post you should see “Edit” (next to “Report”). Click on that, change the @ for AT and then click on “Save Changes”. Hopefully that should do it.
It should work with any luck. I just added a second smiley to my post 12 minutes after I posted it - cue me looking daft now if it doesn’t work for Helen.
