Just comes back with no explanation. Have sent DOB, the regiment number (if I'm reading it right) and copy of death cert. They don't cash the cheque.

Well I think there is only a couple of things you can do

    1. Upload on here what you have sent just to see if anyone spots something missing etc

    2. Ring them and ask - I would expect some explanation such as no name to that service number, name and date of birth dont match or something along those lines. I have spoken to them a couple of times and found them helpful

Thank you. Ive called them and sent an email. I'll post the docs I have on the forum this evening and hopefully someone can spot something I am missing.

    Hi Martin

I cant really read that image - all I can see is that something happened on 17th April 1943, no service number etc

But its more the documents you sent to the MOD - have they responded to your call/email? - be interesting to see what they say

It's a bad copy unfortunately. I haven't had a reply to my email yet. I'll update when I hear back. Thanks for your help.
