I wonder what the notation (ATTD) means beside a soldier's name on the honour for the Governor General's Foot Guards for World War Two? The soldier is listed as Pte Charles Muzzell (rather than Gdsmn)
ATTD = attached. So he'd have been from one regiment attached to / serving with another when he died.
