I am searching for the burial of a German soldier who died in 1944. So far his daughter does not know where he is buried. She was born in 1939, and did not get to know and remember her father. I am trying to help her

Hopefully they'll be able to confirm some information for his daughter. I can't think of any agencies other than Volksbund or WASt which could help.

Just one more thing, regarding the term "Missing":
A relative of mine was declared Missing at Stalingrad (is however listed on Volksbund website) and is commemorated on the Rossoshka memorial. There is no grave and chances are there never will be. I hope that things turn out differently for your friend.
