WANTED - Casualties on Memorials or buried in the UK and Ireland

temptage I thought it would only take a few weeks......

I've been putting it off and putting it off but I have now relented and am forging on with my own Big Push. I have checked on websites like Find A Grave and Billion Graves for photos, but without luck. If there are photos on their records, they are not of the size and resolution I require. Hence why I am asking on here.

I have several casualties buried across the UK, or named on a Memorial, that I am hoping to get photos of their name or headstone. I realise some of the names are from WW1, but I am hoping to find people in the vicinity of each place, who are able to help.

I would like the photos to be as high resolution as possible, and where the names are on a Memorial Panel, I require individual names rather than actual panel photographs.

    This is my list.

    UNITED KINGDOM

    NORTHERN IRELAND

Killyleagh Church Of Ireland Churchyard - A. 471 - Atkinson, Harry

    SHROPSHIRE

    Bridgnorth Cemetery - S. 940 - Hall, John Herman

    SUFFOLK

Lowestoft Naval Memorial - 28 names

    WILTSHIRE

Tidworth Military Cemetery - Sec. F. (C. of E.). Grave 120 - Hosted, Isaac Ernest

I have a few images of the Liverpool Naval Memorial, what are you after?

This is the only Memorial where I need a photo of the full crew names on the ships, rather than the individual names.

I need the photos to be as high resolution as possible.

The 3 ships are HMS Staunton on Panel 22 Column 2, and HMS Valdora on Panel 23 Column 1

I need high res photos of individual names rather than panel photos. They have to be big enough to be able to fill a piece of A4 paper.

    Hi temptage,

Here is what I have for HMS Staunton and HMS Valdora. What was the 3rd ship?

Sorry. My mistake. It was only the two ships. Do you have the originals of those two photos? I am requiring high res copies if possible.

Thanks for that Amberdog45. I signed up for RootsWeb years ago but had forgot all about it.

I need the photos to be high resolution, with each name centrally placed within 5 or 7 names, for ease of editing. Photos taken at an angle are not a problem as I have a wonderful piece of software that can alter the perspective, as long as they are high res.

Thanks to you suggesting asking on RootsWeb, my message was picked up by someone who sent it to someone else who then forwarded it on to the Groundskeeper at the Church, who took the photo today and sent it on to the second person who has emailed it to me this afternoon. The powers and wonders of the internet works again.

Brilliant news you got the Stirling picture. Rootschat are a fantastic bunch of folk. Always amazes me the lengths they go to help out. One more scored of your list. Best of luck with the rest.
