    I took these 24-09-2017 within Christchurch Priory, Dorset.

    Born in Rotherham. A friend of mine who works in a school in Rotherham told me there used to be a building named after him in the city centre - some concrete monstrosity from the 1960's. They eventually pulled it down. This is an example of his work that survives over the Leopold Canal on the Dutch/Belgian border that I've visited a couple of times and is still in use today.

    During the Italian Campaign, Sappers built 2,762 Bailey Bridges which, if you put them end to end, would stretch for 49 miles.

    I was in Bavaria in Aug and walked across a Bailey Bridge.

    I was not that awake. Most of my energy was used up chuckling that I had found a Bailey Bridge in the Fatherland.

    It seems that I did take a photo of the Bailey bridge in Hohendilching.
