Yes there was a 2nd Seaborne tail, I must have it somewhere but not at the hand at the moment, there is a War Diary of the Seaborne tail section at Kew.

    Thanks Philip,
Is this the Number at Kew WO 171/1243 I will go to Kew during Easter leave and check it out. Thanks again.

1243 is 10th Para Bn, but there will be nothing in it on Arnhem, as that part was never brought back from Arnhem or made up afterwards, you need the seaborne tail WD WO171/394

    Hi Paul
I have been looking at the posts on here because I have been doing some research on my father in law Robert (Bob) Parker. He was in 2 Para. He is on the photo of Barletta Italy, and I was surprised when I saw the photo posted on message 59 as I have that photo. Bob is the one sitting down holding the bunch of grapes.

    Hello Aimeep,

Thanks SO much for helping out with that photo. It has been a long wait for someone to add another name! Just so as I'm perfectly clear, is your father-in-law the chap in the dark trousers or the light ones? I ask because in the photo on post 59 the chap in the light trousers is named as Arthur Latchford but we now think that is wrong.

Once again many thanks for your help! :D

    Hi Paul
Bob is the one with the dark trousers. Just had a another look at the photo didnt notice that both of them sitting down were holding a bunch of grapes, in fact now I realise they all have grapes, need to put my glasses on next time.

Dave I have that pic and it's one of a set of three that I have named "Exercise on Nov 4th 1941". For the life of me I can't remember where I found them or why I named them that!
As for Ellison and Webster, I have a couple of Ellison's and several Webster's in the database, but no pics to try and match them up .
I've attached the other two pics to see if it jogs anyone's memory.

    All the best...............:)

As a matter of interest i have just had the 2 Para Hockey team pic converted into colour. However there is a very obvious mistake in the pic, i will be collecting the final pic next week. Meanwhile here is a copy i picked up today!
