I see the name of the ship in the title - but this other forum has a title that is not the same http://www.shipsnostalgia.com/showthread.php?t=196809 Zooduchus Pigi Which is correct - and what other info do you have, any ports she arrived or departed from, dates, in fact anything extra?? TD
Have you followed up information from this site??? Dampfschlepper ZOODOCHOS PIGI I really wonder if the following vessel I found in my files could be the same vessel? ZOODOCHOS PIGI Tug/Wood/Screwsteamer Bld.: MacDowell & Barbour, Piraeus L: 1903 T: 1903 Eng.: VCE2cyl 200ihp MacDowell & Barbour, Piraeus 44,53gt 13,66nt (8nt?) 1903: ZOODOCHOS PIGI ??? /Gr 1913: ZOODOCHOS PIGI Marc Rigo, İstanbul (m) ??? /Fr 22.11.1914: seized by Osmanlı Government at İstanbul 1914: commissioned by Osmanlı Bahriye, later transferred to Levazim İşleri Dairesi (m) Osmanlı Seyr-i Sefain İdaresi, İstanbul 1919: discovered by Marine Nationale at İstanbul, but French flag refused You mention it was a Troop ship but others seem to be suggesting its a tug - big difference TD Another interesting thread on this forum - Zooduchus Pigi - to be honest it would be useful to let members know how much previous research or other forums you have been on to save us time chasing around for details. Looking at the information on these other forums does not correspond to the absolute minimum description provided in the opening post of this thread
I agree with TD. This is likely to end up duplicating effort if we don't know what you know already. For instance I see from the record on the thread 'My Dad' that he spent time in MDQ Jerusalem where MDQ means Military Detention Quarters. I now see you already knew this. In addition if you start numerous threads on this Forum on basically the same subject ie: this thread and 'My Dad' and 'Victoria 1' it will be very difficult for us to keep track of where we are getting to in helping you. Tim My dad: Royal Navy, HMS Khartoum, HMS Ladybird, Zooduchus Phigi, minesweeper Victoria I, HMS Keats Victoria I, minesweeper - Captain killed
Listed here as Transport Vessel and spelt ZOODOCHOS PIGHI. British vessels lost at sea in World War 2 including storeships, tankers, oilers, net layers, tenders etc Tim
