I was made redundant in January 2005 after working for 38 years (25 at the last place)

I don't know about overseas however over 50's in Australia have a difficult time of it.

I started my own Consultancy business however things have been tough.

Just started the distribution of a New Technology Parts Washing machine for the engineering industry.

The unit never needs emptying as microbes eat the oil & grease and turn it into Water & Carbon Dioxide.

Environmentally friendly , no solvents, toxins, non flammable etc etc.

I have a unit in a trailer and do demonstrations to Councils, Mechanics, Trucking & Bus Companies, Food Processors etc. Virtually anyone who has to clean parts.

The reason I'm home - Flat tyre on the trailer. Waiting for it to be repaired. The joy of working for yourself.

Better get up to the Army base at Puckapunyal and sell them one to service their tanks.

Wish me luck boys and girls!

I spotted it as well, but couldn't be bothered to Edit. I'm on holiday for pete's sakes! The best I've managed so far is when commenting on the Mosquito fighter/bomber i said it could top 4000mph. Considering as the forum I was on I didn't bother to edit it either. It was picked up next day. *sigh*
    Spidge, you're safe. Lee isn't. :D

My new job title, for a position I take up in 6 weeks, is Course Coordinator in History at Penwith College, Penzance. Basically I am a college lecturer but I also get to control the money and staff. Well I say staff but that is me at the mo. But at least I get to plan fun trips.
