I sat and counted just 5 cars since learning to drive in 1983. First car is my favourite, a white Triumph Dolomite 1500. Not a Sprint (which is the car photographed) but almost identical to it. I had her 13 years and handpainted the car several times including a wonderful deep rose!!!
My current car, a Honda Civic Type S, is my fav so far car wise, but I've had a series of bikes, including a Honda CB 100, Yamaha, SR 250, Suzuki GN 250 and my fav the Yamaha 535 Virago.
Well, someone has to bring a big bad American car to this thread.. might as well be me. Favorite car was the first one, 1974 Torino. 351 inches, 6 pak carbs, and basically no exhaust. She would just fly, back in the day when gas was cheap. Favorite bike is the one I'm riding...... HD Softail.
My dad had several different cars. We had a British Leyland Princess whilst I was learning to drive. Not bad. Our first car in married life was a Renault 5; it had a 'Push Me Pull You' gear lever (stick shift) in the dashboard. I loved it. Nice little car, with lots of 'umph'. Steve W.

I was taught to drive in the family car - 115 ACE (Green Daimler SP 250 shown in thumbnail) has been with us for nearly 40 years! Passed my driving test first time in an ordinary car ... but, was hauled up when I pumped the breaks when asked to do an emergency stop! - the examiner nearly went through the windscreen. Drove 115 ACE to work and back every day for nearly 20 years ... here, there and everywhere in all weather ... she never let me down ... a faithful car with a very big heart. Returned home one evening .... ACE had a small problem! The next day husband Peter said she'll have to come off the road for a while ... ended up with a total rebuild which took him 7 years to complete! Wasn't as much fun having to catch a bus to work! A much loved favourite car of mine to drive and one that still enjoys being out and about today ........... ! Lindsay Aspin

I had a mid 90's Triumph Tiger. Salesman described the engine as bullet-proof, this was their first generation engine on the their return to manufacturing. Never had a smoother engine than the in-line triple. Plus it is the only bike I rode where a gal flashed me. Like this, if the link works, except black:
mine was a 1972 VW Beetle given to me as my apprentiship project it needed 4 new wings 2 new doors a full floor pan and heating ducts in all it was knackered, it took me 9 months to restore and a hell of alot of late nights and weekends but i got there in the end, add it 1 year then someone came with a ridiculus price of £3500 and i snapped his hand off and bought my self a Ford Escort 1600 ghia absoloutely luxury all the mod cons alot different than the basic good fun Beetle
My favourite car was my previous one, a Mazda 6 TS2 estate, 2.0. went like stink, incredibly comfy and well equiped, fantastic car.. seriously regret letting it go now. Favourite bike was my Suzuki RF900Rs Bought crash damaged and completely rebuilt by me, anything that could wear was replaced and every nut and bolt changed, she was originally red, painted white at the rebuild.
for me, it has to be the DS21 we used to own, the only one in the whole of Poplar! Here she is outside my old stomping ground on the Island, outside the Tate&Lyle refinery (you shoulda smelt the sugary goodness when it caught fire in the late 70's!) Tate&Lyles is all flats now.... before and after shot, lol

Don't have a photo so here's a googled image instead. Great dog bed/taxi, solid, can spin on a coin, really quick too.
fave bike Ive wanted one since i was 14 after hearing my dad spin tales of when he was a 'Rocker' back in the 50's & 60's.:rocker: So i bought a non running wreck, obtained the parts it needed. Dad and I then locked ourself in the garage for a week and the result.... Dresda 650 Triton Cafe racer Norton wideline frame with T110 preunit triumph engine, goldie silencers, all alloy fittings by 'tickle' & 'lyta' and twin leading shoe brakes. The dogs danglies (in 1955!)B) Its good for 100mph if you brave/stupid enough and like completely numb feet, hands, blurred vision and also the fillings being vibrated out of you head!
I hope you managed to do all that without having to speak to Dave Degens; I once made the mistake of phoning him about a New-Old-Stock Dresda swingarm for a Honda Four I'd bought....my god but was that man an ignorant tit!
