I like all sports but baseball ( MLB ) & football ( NFL ) are my favorite the Cincinnati Reds & Cincinnati Bengals WHO DEY
Owen - Is F1 actually a sport these days? Well that is debatable but Swindon Town don't play very good football so why would I support them ? I gave up on them in 1979.
Football, I love it! Hope this season proves to be as interesting as it promises. I no longer support one team (although there are a couple which I would never want to win ) so recent developments great for a neutral.
Football = (England - Manchester United , FC United of Manchester & Accrington Stanley.... Germany - "Club Hollywood" (FC Bayern).... Holland - Vitesse ..... Belgium - Club Brugge.....France - FC Metz). Also like boxing, but all my "favourites" are long dead! (Marciano, Graziano, Louis, Schmeling, Dempsey, Carpentier, Cerdan, Robinson, etc etc).
Also like boxing, but all my "favourites" are long dead! (Marciano, Graziano, Louis, Schmeling, Dempsey, Carpentier, Cerdan, Robinson, etc etc). Used to love the midddleweight fights of the 80's, Hagler, "Hitman" Hearns, Roberto Duran et al!
My favorite Sport is Football and my team is F.C.Twente '65.It hails from my hometown of Enschede, where also the beer ''Grolsch'' is brewed
Ah F.C Twente, Muhren & Thyssen Transferred to Ipswich, those were the days. !!! And that was a team! And of course, Bobby Robson.
And that was a team! And of course, Bobby Robson. It was indeed. A class manager and seemed like a real gent too.
For as long as I can remember I have supported Stoke City FC (The Potters) Stoke City F.C. - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.
West Ham for me just had a thought i wonder how many players of professional teams were in active service during the war. Also follow the motorcycle racing love all forms of it more exciting than any four wheel racing...
this is an interesting article all about football in the war very long so you may just want to skip to the bit about West Ham winning the cup in 1940 Football and the Second World War
West Ham Utd here, too Trix - there's a current Chelsea Pensioner called Wally, he played about 8 or 9 games for West Ham just prior to outbreak of Ww2. I'm considering getting him to be the one to pull the cord on the Memorial to the Ww1 Hammers Battalion (13th Essex) I've been sorting out for the last few months over at the Boleyn supporting the Irons myself, I couldn't let my GtGrandad and the other Hammers servicemen remain so forgotten - the West Ham Pals of 13th Essex The unveiling is Sunday 8th November, if you (or anyone else) want to come along! 13th Essex Kings Colours are being paraded for the first time since 1935ish! When you can count the old King of Norway, the current US President and HM Queen as non season ticket holding supporters I'm having a difficult choice who to ask to pull the cord! 13th Essex fought alongside the 17th Middlesex (Footballers) for the whole War too
Always had time for the Hammers. Their teams always play attractive, stylish football. None of your negative muck with the hammers!
