Hi all, last night I was invited to the 90 bithday party of an Arnhem veteran, He is one of a number of veterans I know around that age,and wonder if it would be an interesting exercise to put a then and now picture of these chaps on or about their birthdays, on WW2T, I think many of us are proud to know a Arnhem veteran or two, and with some determind input,we could possibly get an interesting picture gallery. I often wonder how old the oldest surviving Arnhem veteran is. As the Roll of Honour rolls on sadly, I just thought it might be a good idea to share with everybody a small birthday celebration for these tough old survivors. Just a thought, if anyone thinks likewise, i will start with my birthday boy, and also a picture of his body armour which he still has, and the story about it, regards lofty
I think many of us are proud to know a Arnhem veteran or two, I don't restrict myself to Arnhem but I know what you mean.
Hi all, thanks for your support. I have put the first birthday boy in a new thread with the hope for followups. I hope the thread title makes sense, I am sure mr Pariso will understand it. (see his signature above ). So I now look forward to another post and another birthday boy in the new thread Regards LOFTY
